About

Rhonda ReevesIn 2000 I began experiencing severe muscle spasms in my lower back. My story isn’t unique; back pain continues to be one of the most common complaints in our day to day world of office work, driving and sedentary lifestyles. I did not want to be on a medication that I became dependent on to be able to work as my corporate job required frequent travel. I went on a search for a solution to strengthen my back and core muscles to naturally ease the pain.

That led me on a quest that has changed my life; the practice of yoga.

I received a 200 hour certification as a registered yoga teacher in 2013 at Boulevard Yoga in Kansas City. Jennifer Kieltyka continues to be one of my beloved teachers and I am eternally grateful for her inspiration, guidance and contribution to the local yoga community. In 2014 I added a certification in restorative yoga and became a Relax and Renew® Trainer. In 2017, I competed a course in Yoga Tune Up Core Integration using yoga tune up balls to complement both flow and chair yoga classes.

Continuing to refine my teaching through workshops and continuing education I have studied with Judith Hanson Lasater, Ray Long, Seane Corn, Aadil Palkivala, Jill Miller and Katy Bowman.

In my instruction I seek to bring students to their own sense of how yoga can benefit their lives; whether it’s a simple breathing technique for stress or the dedicated routine of a vinyasa practice based on the goals, needs and physical abilities of the individual.

Yoga is for everyone. I teach with compassion and understanding to make sure students are comfortable in any environment, at any skill level.
